Video Games: Male vs Female
Video Game 1. Resident Evil 5
Chris Redfield -- Brave, In control, Realistic
-- Powerful, Strong, Controlling

Video game 2. Halo 3
Master Chief -- Animated, warrior, hero
Cortana -- Futuristic, perfect body, feminist
Video Game 3: Bioshock
Atlas -- Ordinary, rustic, non-violent
Tenebaum -- innocent, introvert, old-fashion
Video Game 4: Super Mario Brothers
Mario -- Cute, fun, exciting
Princess Peach -- Dainty, Blonde, innocent
Video Game 5: Left 4 Dead
Bill -- old, soldier, warrior
Zoey -- slender, confident, fighter
Most of the male characters (except Mario, who is just a bundle of fun) are in tip-top shape and all have the appearance of confidence and ready to kick butt at a moment's notice. The male characters are much more realistic because they are imaged as soldiers.
The women on the other hand are kind of all over the place. The one thing they have in common is they portray a certain body image of being slender and well developed (even Princess Peach). Two of the female characters are shown getting ready to fire assault rifles, which is not a perception that is very realistic. They also need to portray them more to the actual size of today's women in America where the average size is closer to 14 than 2.
